Tuesday, April 21 saw the tee-off to the ladies golf season with the opening dinner. There were some 55 ladies in attendance.
Our captain for 2015, Cathy Densmore, introduced the new ladies for the 9 and 18 Hole sections. She also gave us a run down of what activities and competitions there will be for this season. This year the 9 Hole Ladies captain is Denise Trainor. It was a pleasure to see some former members of the 9 Hole league back with us again this year and to welcome some new members to the club.
The captains of the Twilight League, Teresa Kane and Sue Cunningham, spoke about the Wednesday afternoon golf activities for 2015. As Teresa said, “It is an afternoon to come out and just have fun”.
Patti Ingram, the Teams’ leader introduced the “musical” captains for the season with some ‘groovy’ music and moves from the team captains! I can tell you now that the Clines will not be “falling to pieces” when the season begins! The challenge is on ladies!
Jeannine Roberts did a wonderful job in decorating the tables. They looked gorgeous and springlike, even though the weather has been anything but!
The buffet meal served by Jesse’s-on the-Green, was delicious, as always. Thanks to Rod Pollock and his staff.
