On Tuesday, August 2 we had our annual Field Day at the Guelph Country Club. We had some 30 ladies from the 9 & 18 ladies section come out to play and participate in Royal things!!! The “waves” were wonderful, the stern faces – until we laughed out loud! There were many lovely knee length coats, gorgeous hats and gloves – Oh soon Royal! We had a Queen’s guard, the Dancing Queen, princesses and more hats and gloves!
We did play some golf, with closest to the pin, longest drive, least amount of putts, closest to the line, best net and best gross scores.
Alison Cunningham and Norma Zuccala did a wonderful job of organizing this theme day. We had lovely sunshine and happy faces all round!
This was followed by a great lunch on the patio. The tables were decorated with Queen Anne’s Lace – how appropriate? We look forward to the next event at the Guelph Country Club – Ladies Section golf.
