Woodstock Revival Field Day – Ladies 9 & 18 – August 4, 2015
On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, the Ladies 9 & 18 leagues, held their far out Field Day with Woodstock Revival as the theme.
The day commenced with coffee and breakfast snacks from the Jersey Boys at 7:30 am. Thank you to the Jersey Boys.
We had 29 ladies out to play and participate in the fun and games. Many ladies were taken back to their youthful days and dressed accordingly with flowing garments, flowers in their hair, tie-dyed tee shirts, jeans and beads.
The weather held off with a few black clouds threatening and some spots of rain.
We played a Quota game and the winners were, Judy Nasby followed by Pierrette Labrie. The Low Gross League game winner was Patti Ingram with a score of 90 and runner up Wendy Cuthbert with a score of 93. The Longest Drive went to Carol Christie, Closest to the pin went to Donna Wong and Closest to the 150 marker on #8 went to Sue Cunningham. Congratulations to all these ladies who were able to concentrate on their game of golf!
The game was followed by a lovely BBQ lunch from Jesse’s on the Green, also with a Woodstock theme – burgers, sausages and …..brownies!
The day concluded with a “no rules” Trivia Game and this was won by Rachel Cameron, Sue Lavigne and Virginia Lundvall. The Runner up team was Patti Ingram, Carol Christie and Cathy Densmore.
Thank you to Paul, all the helpers in the Pro Shop, Rod from Jesse’s and Francis for setting up.
Marilyn Leavitt and Franki Robinson – Field Day organizers.
Peace and love!
